Individual Therapy
You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy.
Many people imagine they should only seek therapy when life has become unmanageable. In reality, people come for all sorts of reasons.
Sometimes it’s because anxiety has become exhausting. Sometimes a relationship has ended, work feels overwhelming or life has taken an unexpected turn. Sometimes you’re carrying the impact of difficult experiences from the past. And sometimes, it’s simply a sense that something no longer feels quite right.
Whatever has brought you here, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Understanding is often part of the process.
What Can Therapy Help With?
Every person’s story is different, but therapy can be helpful if you’re experiencing:
Anxiety, stress or feeling overwhelmed
Low mood or loss of confidence
Trauma or difficult past experiences
Relationship difficulties
Grief and loss
Burnout or work-related stress
Perfectionism or self-criticism
Life transitions or identity changes
Fertility, pregnancy or parenthood
Family challenges
Feeling stuck or repeating the same patterns
A desire to better understand yourself
You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people come because they want to understand themselves more deeply and make positive changes before things become overwhelming.
What Happens in Therapy?
Therapy offers something that’s increasingly rare, time to slow down and reflect.
-

Understanding Your Story
Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your life, the experiences that have shaped you and the patterns that may be influencing how you think, feel and relate to others.
-

Making Connections
Sometimes we’ll spend time understanding the past and how it continues to influence the present. Sometimes we’ll focus on what’s happening in your life today. Often, we’ll move between the two.
-

A Different Perspective
The aim isn’t to analyse every detail of your life. It’s to help you step back, notice patterns and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.
-

Greater Self Understanding
It’s to develop a deeper understanding of yourself so that you’re no longer driven by patterns you aren’t fully aware of.
My Approach
I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I tailor therapy to the individual sitting with me.
My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy while drawing on attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation frameworks, cognitive approaches and an understanding of the mind-body connection.
No single approach works for everyone. Therapy should be shaped around you, your experiences and where you are at.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to help you better understand yourself, recognise patterns that may no longer be serving you and support you in creating lasting change.

Got questions?
-
You don’t need to be in crisis or have a mental health diagnosis to benefit from therapy.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck, navigating a significant life event, struggling in your relationships, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply.
If you’re unsure, a free 10-minute initial consultation is a good place to start.
-
Psychotherapy provides a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships.
It can help you understand recurring patterns, process difficult experiences, improve emotional wellbeing and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
The aim isn’t simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change.
-
The first session is about getting to know you.
We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to gain and any questions or concerns you may have. It’s also an opportunity to begin building our therapeutic relationship and deciding how we’d like to work together.

I’m an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches according to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit a single model.
My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy and informed by attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, EMDR, cognitive approaches, emotional regulation and an understanding of the mind-body connection.
