Life doesn’t come with a handbook.

Some moments change our circumstances. Others change who we are.

Hello I’m Meera.

i’m happy you’re here

I'm Meera Moore Danowski, BACP Registered Psychotherapist, COSRT Registered Couples Therapist and ICF Accredited Coach. I work with individuals and couples through some of life's most difficult moments, helping them understand themselves and each other, and create lasting change, to feel better, to live better.

Choosing a therapist is personal. Qualifications matter, but so does finding someone you feel at ease with, someone who takes the time to understand what you're facing without judgement.

Falling in love.

Becoming a parent.

Building a career.

Losing someone we love.

Rebuilding after betrayal.

Starting again.

We prepare for many of life's biggest moments.

Very few of us are prepared for what they do to us psychologically. Those moments can change how we think, feel, relate to others and see ourselves. Therapy offers the space to understand those changes and move forward.

How can I help?

    Individual Therapy

Life doesn’t have to fall apart before you come to therapy.

Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or simply aware that something no longer feels quite right, therapy offers the opportunity to better understand yourself, recognise the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and create change.

Therapy helps you make sense of your experiences, develop healthier ways of coping and create the conditions for meaningful, lasting change.

    Couples Therapy

Every relationship goes through difficult seasons.

You may be struggling with communication, recurring conflict, intimacy, trust, infidelity, parenting, blending families or simply feeling that you’ve lost your connection.

Couples therapy isn’t about deciding who’s right. It’s about understanding what’s happening between you, recognising the patterns you’ve become caught in and creating the conditions for a healthier relationship.

    Coaching

Sometimes you don’t need therapy. You need space to think.

Coaching is designed for professionals, founders, leaders and individuals who are psychologically well but want structured support as they navigate career decisions, leadership, business growth or significant personal goals.

Combining psychological insight with practical action, coaching helps you think more clearly, make better decisions and move forwards towards what’s next.

The Series

Life doesn’t come with a handbook.

The Making Sense Of… series explores the experiences many of us go through but few of us feel emotionally prepared for.

Each article combines psychology with practical, relatable ideas to help make sense of the thoughts, feelings and patterns that often come with life’s biggest moments.

Whether you’re looking for reassurance, trying to understand yourself a little better or simply wondering whether anyone else has felt the same way, I hope you’ll find something here that resonates.

What brings you here?

Life rarely fits neatly into categories and neither do people.

You don’t need to have a name for what you're experiencing before reaching out. Sometimes people arrive with a clear reason for seeking therapy, others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right. These are some of the challenges I most often often help individuals and couples navigate.

    When Life Feels Overwhelming

Sometimes there isn’t one defining event. Life simply starts to feel harder than it used to.

You may be living with anxiety, stress, panic, low mood, perfectionism, self-criticism or a constant sense of overwhelm. Perhaps you’re exhausted from holding everything together or feel you’ve lost sight of who you are.

When the Past Keeps Showing Up

Sometimes our past continues to shape our present in ways we don’t fully understand.

You may find yourself repeating relationship patterns, struggling to trust, feeling constantly on edge or reacting in ways you don’t like. Together, we’ll explore how earlier experiences may be shaping life today, helping you understand the past without being defined by it.

    When Relationships Become Difficult

Relationships have the power to bring us our greatest joy and our greatest heartache.

Whether you’re struggling to communicate, rebuilding after infidelity, feeling disconnected or learning to love again, therapy can help you better understand your relationship and the patterns shaping it.

    When Family Life Changes

Few experiences shape us more than family life.

From trying to conceive and becoming a parent, to raising teenagers, blending families or caring for ageing parents, every stage asks something different of us.

When Life Takes an Unexpected Turn

Sometimes the life we imagined changes.

Career transitions, burnout, redundancy, retirement or simply reaching a point where life no longer feels quite right can leave us questioning who we are and what comes next.

    When You’re Living With Loss

Making Sense Of…

Life and the experiences that connect us. Love. Loss. Parenthood. Family. Confidence. Change. Friendship. Identity. Belonging. We all go through these moments, yet few of us feel emotionally prepared for them. The 'Making Sense Of…' series brings together psychology, research and real life to explore the experiences that shape us through articles, courses, talks and practical resources. Every therapeutic relationship is built on trust and confidentiality, so nothing here comes from therapy sessions, only from the shared experiences that make us human.

  • TA

"I cannot tell you in words how helpful the therapy was, I was really struggling to cope. Although I found it difficult at times (which I I know is normal), I came away feeling much 'stronger' and now feel so much better about myself than I probably ever have."

  • SM

"Meera created a space where I felt completely heard and understood.
    I couldn't recommend her more."

  • DB

All I can say is that in a relatively short time span, therapy has been really quite profound. It was way less rigid than I'd feared, and Meera was a skillful, intuitive, even gifted therapist who was open, responsive and very helpful.”

  • LM

If I'd have found therapy sooner my life could have been so much better already. Everyone needs a Meera in their life.”

  • HTK

“Therapy helped me to work out why I was on a mission to self-destruct in every relationship. It's been hard to confront some of my own stuff but I feel free and my marriage has changed in so many ways.
